A cycle of Japanese poems put on music by Russian and Soviet composer Sergey Vasilenko to be performed at the 5th Japan - Russia:Musical Bridge festival in Japan. Russian and Japanese composers' pieces are going to be performed during the event, Rossiya-K informs.

Musicians from two countries will perform Japanese Melodies cycle by Sergey Vasiliev and poems translated to Japanese. Noticeably, Vasiliev's compositions have never been played in Japan, although he has written many compositions dedicated to Asian culture.

Japanese musicians who specialize in playing on "matryomina" will participate in the festival as well. The instrument is similar to theremin but made in a firm of Russian Matroska.
