An Orthodox Russian temple in Pskov-Novgorod tradition will be built in the Wayne city center in New Jersey State, USA. The local Orthodox parish collected funds to purchase the land for the construction for 60 years, Sedmitsa.ru reports.

Last Saturday the First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia Metropolitan Hilarion consecrated the new church construction. The erection of the temple is mostly based on the increase in the parishioners number. Hundreds of Russian and Soviet emigrants descendants want to join the faith of their ancestors.

The temple will be built in the Pskov-Novgorod tradition on one of the central streets of Wayne located fifty kilometers from New York.

Before this, for many years, services took place in a variety of city places often not adapted for this. The construction is conducted on the donations of patrons and parishioners.
