Celebrations dedicated to Leo Tolstoy's 190th anniversary to be held all over Russia, TV Culture reports. On September 9th Russia marks the great writer's birthday.

Presidential Adviser Vladimir Tolstoy reminded that there are many place in Russia connected with the writer. Kazan, St. Petersburg, Lipetsk, Samara region, Crimean peninsula are among them. All museums and their branches nationwide have prepared wide-ranging programs dedicated to this remarkable date, Vladimir Tolstoy has shared.

In particular, State Leo Tolstoy Museum in Moscow will open Celebration Can't be Banned exhibition. The main topic of the show is the story about the writer's 80th anniversary celebration. The Head of the museum Fekla Tolstaya has marked that in 1908 readers of Anna Karenina and War and Peace engaged in discussion about Tolstoy's role in Russian culture and social life.
