The visit of the Chinese leader Xi Jinping to Russia will launch new joint projects. He will attend the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) on September 11-13 in Vladivostok.

According to the experts of the international accounting company Deloitte, this year the trade turnover between Russia and China will expand as it happened during the previous two years, RIA Novosti reports.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin noted that bilateral relations between Moscow and Beijing continue according to the elaborated plan, President of the People's Republic of China actively promotes it. In the first half of 2018 the trade turnover between the two countries increased by 50%. The head of state recalled that it was $87 billion last year. The Russian leader suggested that this year it would reach $100 billion.

Deloitte experts believe that Russia may profit on exporting non-resource products to China, for example, agricultural products. Cooperation between the two countries tends to the implementation of major infrastructure projects. This includes the construction of a bridge across the Amur River (runs along the Russian-Chinese border) and Eurasia highway.

The development of high technology, medicine and education are also promising. The flow of Chinese tourists to Russia is increasing as well. The number of Chinese citizens' trips to Russia in 2017 increased by 15% compared to 2016.
