Argentinian Dostoevsky Community & University of Buenos Aires held the International Conference of Slavists

Slavonic Research National Conference took place in Argentina, Rossotrudnichestvo website reports. It was organised by the local Dostoevsky Community and Slavic Literature Department of the University of Buenos Aires. 

It was already the second forum. According to the head of Dostoevsky Community Alejandro Gonzalez, the geography has widely expanded this year. Brazilian, Colombian, Uruguayan, and Paraguayan Russian literature and Russian language researchers joined them. 

Well-known translators, philologists, historians, and linguists presented the results of the work to the colleagues. Several round tables dedicated to life and creative work of the Russian literature classics, such as Pushkin, Gogol, Dostoevsky, Chekhov, Gorky, etc., were held within the conference.

Slavia online magazine was presented in conjunction with the conference. The Dostoevsky Association has brought this initiative. Slavonic research novelties in literature, linguistics, sociology, and translation are published on its pages.
