Vasily Nebenzya opened UN Kids Assembly in Artek

Children's Camp Artek has launched UN Kids Assembly, RIA Novosti reports. The Assembly is held in the frames of the Friendship International shift. 

The current Russia's Permanent Representative to the United Nations Vasily Nebenzya opened the forum. According to him, Artek can be compared with the United Nations. However, in UN all world problems are concentrated while in Artek they are being resolved.

Nebenzya marked that the UN was established in Crimea in Yalta Livadia Palace in 1945.

There are 200 Assembly participants from 63 countries. The head of the children centre Alexey Kasprzjak said that UN Kids Assembly has become the tradition in Artek. Kids have modelled the General Assembly session and discussed Volunteerism and Humanitarian Assistance topic.

There are two meetings – one in Russian and another one in English. The resolution to be conveyed to the Russian Permanent Mission at the UN. 

Note, all participants are coming from Russian compatriots' families.
