Vienna applauds Boris Eifman ballet

Boris Eifman ballet from St. Petersburg has concluded its European tour in Vienna, Austria. Tchaikovsky. PRO et CONTRA ballet was shown two times, and in both cases the hall was filled to capacity, and the show's got a standing ovation, RIA Novosti reports.

The Eifman ballet tour started in Monaco in the beginning of June. The troupe performed in four countries in the frames of the Gala Russe project that takes its turn following heritage of Russian Seasons by S. Dyagilev to present Russian culture at the Côte d’Azur. Dancers have also performed in Slovakia and Germany. 

According to ballerina Liubov Andreeva the company comes to Austria not for a first time. Two years ago the troupe performed ballet Rodin.

According to the ballet soloist Oleg Gabyshev, the Vienna audience is very attentive and loves the ballet art. The dancer thinks that Vienna was also standing out with its hospitality and cordiality.
