Award ceremony of the Notebook of Friendship takes place in Geneva

Winners of the Notebook of Friendship international project of the National Association for Education Development received awards in the UN Office in Geneva during the Second International round table “Children sociocultural initiatives for world peace”, the Coordinating Council of Russian Compatriots  reports. 

More than 150 representatives of public organizations and institutions from Russia and two dozens other countries participated in the event. Community-focused projects and the role of volunteers were presented and discussed. 

The Notebook of Friendship project involved schoolkids from  more than 40 Russian regions and 26 countries. Team couples from Omsk and UK, Sverdlovsk region and Australia, Perm region and Netherlands, Sevastopol and Sofia entered the list of winners. 

Teams counting from 3 to 30 young participants could participate in the project. Teams had to describe their city and important social projects. Also schoolkids had to invent interactive task for an associated team, design it in a notebook, and pass to the mates from other country.
