Donald Trump claimed that his administration would like to get on well with Russia, though Moscow would prefer to deal with Hillary Clinton, in his opinion, TASS reports.

"Let me tell you something. We want to get on well with Russia,” he said on Wednesday making a speech for his adherents in Duluth, Minnesota. Local news TV channels broadcasted his speech.

At this, the American leader supposed that Moscow would prefer his rival Ex-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to have won the Presidential Election of 2016. “But Russia watches and says – I want Hillary to win…,” Trump said.

"Russia turns back and says: "You know, we want this left-handed Hillary win the Presidential Elections, this would be much better for Russia,” The White House’s Head believes.

The Washington Post newspaper with reference to the US top administration representative and the two diplomats has advised that Trump is expected to hold a meeting with the Russian President in July. The proposed meeting should happen in Europe where the US Leader is to take part in the NATO summit.

After the phone conversation of March 20 between the Presidents, the Russian and US Foreign Offices were assigned to arrange a meeting of the two leaders. However, the Assistant to President of Russia Yuri Ushakov has informed that the preparation for the summit has not been started yet.
