Children New Wave contest finals welcomed representatives of 9 countries in Artek

Children New Wave contest starts today on May 31 in Crimea. International contest of popular music for young signers will be held in the international children’s camp Artek. Young performers represent 9 countries of the world. 14 young vocalists are from Russia, Armenia, Bulgaria, Belarus, Israel, Moldavia, Ukraine, Georgia and Kazakhstan, according to RIA Novosti. 

The professional jury includes Russian pop stars, well-known poets and composers such as Oleg Gazmanov, Sergei Lazarev, Nikolai Baskov, Lev Leschenko, Larisa Dolina. The jury is headed by the composer and producer Igor Krutoi.

In the opinion of Artek’s director Aleksey Kasprzhak, the contest has positive impact on musical culture of children. He has reminded that the children’s camp has enough experience of hosting the creative contest. 

Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated guests and participants of the Children New Wave. He has mentioned that over the years of its existence the project turned into one of the most successful initiatives in the field of the international, cultural and humanitarian cooperation. The most important thing is that the camp gave an opportunity to children to reveal their talents and to make a step forward to the top of their talents. Vladimir Putin wished the participants success and all the best.

International contest for young pop singers is held for the 9th time already. Each time the musical contest discovers new talents.
