Fort Ross Dialogue – A Meeting in Russia Russian-American Forum has started today, on May 21st in Veliky Novgorod, TASS reports. Among its participants are figures of culture, politicians, businessmen and scientists. They are going to discuss questions of cooperation development between the two countries in the fields of culture and business.

The conference is divided into three large parts differing in topics. The first part is to deal with interaction of Russian and American archives. The second part will be dedicated to cybersecurity issues. Whereas, the third part is devoted to the global energetics.

Participants will touch upon the question of scientific and cultural institutions at the round table, their role in development of understanding between Russian and US nations. They are going to talk about their experience of applying modern technological solutions to archives and museums. An edition about the archives of the two countries is going to be presented.

In the course of the second session, experts and specialists are to discuss risks in the field of energetics, possible mechanisms for fighting threats in this field.

According to the Special Representative of the Russian President for International Cultural cooperation Mikhail Shvydkoi, Fort Ross Dialogue represents a symbol of the two nations’ unity. He has expressed assuredness that the forum has not lost its high value under the present circumstances.

Mikhail Shvydkoi expressed regrets that the present stage of Moscow – Washington relations is not as good as they might be. So, culture comes to the front at such hard times.
