Dmitry Medvedev appointed the Head of RF government

Dmitry Medvedev is appointed the head of the RF government. 374 members of the State Duma voted in his favor, which is 83% of the total count, reports RIA News. 

The President of the Russian Federation introduced his candidate before the voting and noted that Dmitry Medvedev had been leading the government in difficult times for the country and had managed to achieve his goals and objectives successfully. 

Dmitry Medvedev spoke with the deputies and told them the work done by the previous Cabinet and also made plans for the future.  

"Now our country is at the turning point. We need a new basis to thrust forward," said Medvedev.

Among other things, Dmitry Medvedev mentioned that  the number of foreign students at Rusian universities is growing and this trend should continue. 

He promised that if he was appointed to the position of Prime Minister of the Russian Federation,  the new Cabinet would work with the State Duma as successfully as before.
