Russian compatriots open Stalingrad Battle exhibition in Naples

Stalingrad Battle exhibition opened in Naples. It is dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the legendary battle during WW2. The exhibit is held in the frames of the coming Victory Day celebration. Its organizer is Maxim Gorky society.

The opening took place on April, 25 – Italy's Liberation Day. This day is a national holiday commemorating the end of Nazi occupation of Italy during World War 2, and the victory of the Resistance.

Outstanding historians, senator Angelo Abenante and the President of Italian Guerilla Association Antonio Amoretti were among honored guests. It was marked that this event plays very important role for the young generation who need to keep memory of the past. All those present were invited to celebrate 73d Anniversary of the Victory Day and the Immortal Regiment parade

The exhibit presents photographic recording of the Stalingrad Battle events. During this fierce battle Nazi army was crushed, but the main point is that the Stalingrad Battle has become a turning point in the World War 2 victory.
