US refuse to give visas to Aeroflot crew

Russian Aeroflot has confirmed the complications with obtaining US visas for the aircraft crew members, TASS informs. The day before the Russian MFA has stressed that if such challenges will continue there is a chance that flights between the US and Russia will be suspended.

According to the Chairman of the of the Committee on International Affairs Konstantin Kosachev, in doing this US authorities aim to put out of bilateral transport market the biggest Russian air company. The Senator is sure that it will play into the hands of American air companies that would make more flights and hence more money on US-Russia trips. Kosachev underlined that all intentions of anti-Russian sanctions are concentrated around getting advantage in business, not for achieving the noble goals

The Russian MFA has reminded Russian-US Aviation Agreement signed in 1994 includes the responsibility to provide visas for the
aircraft crew members.
