Yalta International Economic Forum begins today. It gathers more than 3000 politicians and economists from all over the world to discuss social-economic development of Russia and other countries, TASS informs.

Central topics of the forum are economic development of Crimea, international cooperation and interaction as well as issues of integration into the global trade system.

Many participants arrived at the forum despite the pressure and bans of their governments. This year the forum will be attended by the Syrian delegation for the first time. Syrian delegates came to discuss questions of post war restoration of the republic and interaction with Crimea.

Discussions, debates, cinema shows are scheduled at the forum. Avenue of Russian-Syrian friendship will be opened as a part of the agenda.

One of the main forum tasks is working out a new approach of deploying people’s democracy to settle contemporary challenges.

“Yalta forum proves that peoples of the world are reluctant to reconcile with such vicious and self-defeating approach to the international affairs,” the head of the Crimean Peninsula Sergey Aksyonov mentioned.
