Russian Center in Seoul organized symposium on Korean Peninsula’s issues

Russian center of Seoul National University in cooperation with Institute of East European, Russian, and Central Asian Studies and 7 institutes dealing with Asia based at Seoul National University – Asian Research Institute, US Research Institute, Chinese Research Institute, Japanese Research Institute, etc. – held a symposium on the topic of the North Korean nuclear crisis and the summit between South and North Koreas on April 9, 2018.

More than 100 people attended the symposium, mainly professors and postgraduates. Professors Xin Baum Xic (the former manager of the Russian Center based at Seoul National University) and Xo Don Zhu (researcher of the Institute of Strategic National Security) gave brief and clear comments Russia’s position on the North Korean nuclear crisis. They have emphasized that Russia does not want a war at the Korean Peninsula and will play an important role in the peace-building process in North East Asia.
