People in the whole world lit candles and release white balloons in memory of Kemerovo victims

The mourning campaigns took place in honor of the children who died during the fire in Kemerovo. People came to support Russians and share their grief for the dead. People brought candles, flowers and soft toys by the Russian Embassies, memorials related to our country.


The commemorative campaigns were held in many cities in Germany. Dozens of people came to the Russian-German cultural center. People crowded by the monument to the first cosmonaut in the center of Erfurt.

Dozens of white balloons in honor of the dead children were let out near the Russian Embassy in Riga. The similar campaign was held in the capital of Lithuania. The Lithuanians invited everybody to the White Bridge to commemorate the victims of the tragedy in Kemerovo.

Hundreds of citizens and guests of Kazakhstan’s capital city gathered in support of the campaign called Kemerovo, We are with You. People of different ages brought flowers, toys and paid condolences to the relatives and friends of the victims. Hundreds of candles were lit in the evening at Astana embankment. Commemorative campaigns were held in Taraz, Atbasar, Kyzyk-Tu, Chemkent and Uralsk.

The façade of Tel-Aviv administration was lit up with colors of the Russian flag as a sign of solidarity. Israeli nationals came to the Russian Embassy and the Consulate General of Haifa to leave candles, flowers and children’s toys. Israeli social networks’ users including the Russian compatriots living in Israel pay their condolences to the families of the dead and the victims.

Many flowers and toys were left by the Russian General Consulate in Seattle. People as a commemorative sign tie up the white balloons to the fence and light the candles.

People from the self-proclaimed Lugansk People’s Republic sent out the white balloons into the sky with names of the victims.

In all temples of the Russian Orthodox Church including foreign ones, the requiem for the dead are served these days.
