A particle of the Holy Flame will be delivered to London by the time of the Orthodox Easter celebrations, RIA Novosti informs. It will be transported by a special flight from Jerusalem.

According to Moscow Patriarchy, the Flame will be transported from Israel with assistance from the sponsor Timofei Musatov by the beginning of the night Easter church service in the Uspensky Cathedral of the Surozhsk Eparchy of the Russian Orthodox Church and in the Cathedral of the Dormition of the Holy Virgin and the Holy Royal Martyrs of Russian Orthodox Church abroad.

The Surozhsk Eparchy has assured that the deliverance of the Holy Flame has turned into another proof of the confrontation's absence between the two country's peoples boosted to please the political propaganda.

A particle of the Holy Flame was delivered to London last year for the first time.

The Holy Flame descends in the Church of the Holy Sepultchre the day before the Orthodox Easter. The ancient basilica was constructed in the 4th century at the place where Jesus Christ was crucified, buried and resurrected. The Orthodox believers will celebrate Easter on April 8 this year.
