Cooperation with the young generation of the Russian natives was one of the general topics at the conference for the Russian compatriots living in Italy. The conference took place in Verona, according to the website of the Moscow House of Compatriots.

In the opinion of the head of the Regional Coordinating Council of Russian Compatriots living in the European Countries Tatiana Chuvilyeva, cooperation with young people remains the center of attention in Europe. She is assured that some new mechanisms should be applied to attract the young people, as the old methods simply do not work any more.

Chuviyeva has noted that it is necessary to draw the youth’s attention to preservation of the historical heritage and memory. She has also mentioned about a new project called the Russian Cultural Heritage in Europe. The plan is to conduct this event every year until it eventually covers all the countries.

Darya Byrsany representing a youth movement of the province Friuli-Venezia-Giulia shared her perception of the world youth network and overview of the Coordinating Council’s remote activities in the UK. Byrsany took part in the 5th meeting of the Young Russian Compatriots held in Moscow last autumn. “We worked out the Strategy for development of the young compatriots’ movement. The Strategy turned into a foundation for references of the young Russian compatriots living abroad,” she said.

Note that the youth network of compatriots should become an interactive platform meant for cooperation, communication and development of the communities of the Russian families living in other countries. This ground will promote consolidation of the communities. Every young compatriot can register there to get all necessary information.
