Presentation of the collection of stories by Maurice Druon and Joseph Kessel took place at the Paris Book Fair. The volume comprises stories of the two writers connected to Russia. The unique edition is published in two languages: French and Russian.

The publication of the collection is timed with the birth anniversary of the author of the Accursed Kings and 120th birth anniversary of his uncle Joseph Kessel. Both writers were members of the French Opposition, which fought against the fascist Germany during WWII. The song they composed became the hymn of the Opposition and later the national hymn of France. Noteworthy, that they put their lyrics on the melody of the singer with Russian roots Anna Marly.

The Siberian Nights by Joseph Kessel were included into the collection. The author who spent his childhood in Orenburg described the severe winter of 1919 through the eyes of the French pilot in Vladivostok. The novel was called a pearl of the cultural contribution made by the Russian community into the Western art. It has now been translated into the Russian language.

The collection has a limited edition comprising just 500 copies. The edition as well as its original of 1928 is illustrated with 5 etchings of Alexander Alekseev – another prominent Russian immigrant.
