No one could hinder Russian-French relations, claimed Russian Ambassador in France Alexey Meshkov during the Russian stand opening at the Paris Book Fair (Salon Livre Paris), one of the biggest book fairs of the world, RIA Novosti informs.

The Ambassador has invited guests to the Historical Culture stand. He reminded that there were always enemies of the Russian-French friendship. Now our countries are going through a complicated period again, but no one could prevent our many years of friendship, said Alexey Meshkov. He has added that our countries have many things in common, especially in culture and literature. Russian literature is well understood by French readers, and Russian readers are well aware of the French literature.

It's worth mentioning that Russia is a honored guest this year at the Paris Book Fair that has opened on March 16 in France. Tomorrow, March 19th is the final day of this event.
