Washington has expanded the list of anti-Russian sanctions, TASS informs. US authorities has applied the law On counteraction to opponents of the United States through sanctions for the first time in order to introduce new restrictions on Russian nationals and companies.

14 Russian nationals and Internet Research Agency were subject to new sanctions.

Another package of sanctions resulted from Russia’s alleged meddling with American presidential elections and cyberattacks.

It would be wise to mention here that this week the House of Representatives Committee for Intelligence acknowledged that they failed to find any links between US President Donald Trump and the Kremlin. In particular, according to Mike Conaway, no matter how hard they tried they found nothing but inappropriate meetings and not exactly correct evaluations.

Last month US Ministry of Justice has officially blamed 13 Russian citizens for alleged meddling with the outcome of US Presidential elections. Among the accused persons are entrepreneur Yevgeny Prigozhin and Agency of Internet Research. They were included into the list of new sanctions imposed by US, which was announced today.
