Valery Gergiev's festival in Munich devoted to Stravinsky

Valery Gergiev heads the 360 Degrees festival that started on February 22, RIA Novosti reports. The music forum held for the third time, is dedicated to Igor Stravinsky music. Maestro Gergiev conducts Munich Philharmonic orchestra. He is a principal conductor of the orchestra for three last years and going to hold this position until 2025.

Symphony for Wind Instruments and Petrushka ballet music by Stravinsky and Beethoven's Concert № 4 for piano and orchestra with Hélène Grimaud.

Dates With Stravinsky concerts will complement the program. Pianists from various countries to participate in the event.

A ballet will be performed at the festival for the first time. Saint Petersburg dancers will perform Petrushka ballet by Stravinsky choreographed by Vladimir Varnava.

The final day, February 25 Chamber Orchestra of Munich Philharmonic and The Mariinsky Stradivarius Ensemble. Russian and German musicians will perform Stravinsky, Vivaldi, and Strauss.
