Position of Serbia remains firm: Serbian authorities are not going to support Anti-Russian sanctions imposed by the West, RIA Novosti reports. This statement was made by the Serbian President Aleksander Vucic in the course of the meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, which was held yesterday’s evening.

Serbian President has mentioned that he has many times defined this point of view in the capital cities of Washington, Russia and European Union. Vucic has again underlined that Serbia has never done any harm to Russia and Russia has never done any harm to Serbia.

The visit of the Russian Foreign Minister to Serbia is timed with the 180th anniversary of setting diplomatic ties between the two nations.

Sergei Lavrov is going to meet top officials of Serbia. He is also planning to deliver a lecture in Belgrade State University. Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation will lay a wreath to the monument of the city liberators. Besides, a presentation of mosaic which decorates the dome of the St Savva’s Cathedral is scheduled as a part of the visit. The mosaic was produced at the expense of Russia.
