Lomonosov MSU invites students from Russia and other countries to participate in the Philology Universiade, official MSU website reports.

Students who already have BA or working towards a Baccalaureate degree are encouraged to participate. They can choose from Russian, Romano-Germanic, Slavic, Classical, Byzantine and Modern Greek philology sections.

There are several rounds in the contest. From the very beginning of this year to the end of February MSU is accepting applications. From 1st to 25th of March participants should go through the Correspondence stage, where they have to prepare a creative paper on given subject. The final tour is planned for the 25th of April.

While conducting the contest not for the first time Lomonosov MSU aims to find and support talented philologists.

There are about 100 higher education institutions in Russia where young people study at the philological faculties. This subject ranks 8th among other Russian universities' majors.
