First Youth Forum of Russian compatriots held in Athens

First youth forum was conducted by the community of Russian compatriots living in Greece, IA GreekReporter informs. Almost 150 people took part in the forum. They came to Athens from all over the country. The Coordinating Council of Russian Compatriots has organized the event.

The main task of the forum was to summon up last year results, to exchange opinions about the most interesting events, discuss plans for the coming year. Besides, another purpose was consolidation of young generation of compatriots. Another important topic was 2018 declared as Volunteer’s Year in Russia, which concerns the compatriots’ movement and the youth directly.

The forum was bilingual. The presentations were made in Russian and Greek by participants of World Youth and Student Festival and other major forums.

One of the activists offered to expand youth and sports sectors in the Coordinating Council of Russian Compatriots to improve execution of decisions and decrees of festivals, congresses and sessions concerning youth alliances of Russian compatriots abroad and involvement of young people in social life, management and volunteers’ movement.
