Team competitions on figure skating brought another Olympic award to Russian sportsmen, TASS reports. National figure skating team has taken a silver medal at the Olympics. They were overrun by the Canadians. The third place is won by the Americans.

Ekaterina Bobrova and Dmitri Soloviev demonstrated the third best result in free-routine ice-dance. Winners in each category get ten points. The second place brings 9 points, the third place gains 8 points, etc.

Evgenia Medvedeva and Alina Zagitova gained the highest score among Russian figure skaters.

Let us remember, the first Russian medal at the Olympics in PyeongChang was won by Semen Elistratov, who took bronze in the 1500m short-track speed-skating.

Only 160 Russians arrived at PyeongChang. The Olympic Committee has made a decision that only “clean” sportsmen can come to the Olympics under the Olympic flag and in the status of “an Olympic Athlete from Russia.”
