German businessmen demand to hold off new anti-Russian sanctions

deutsch-russisches-forum.deGerman businessmen are against further extension of anti-Russian sanctions’ politics. The corresponding statement was made by the Eastern Committee for German Economy. The Chairman of this organization Wolfgang Buchele called EU and US for closer interaction on this question, RIA Novosti informs.

According to him, entrepreneurs reject new economic restrictions. Buchele has emphasized that any sanctions head off discussion and negotiations. He is sure that sanctions cause stronger disagreements between the parties and greater concerns among business circles. Besides, they create unpredictable economic risks.

Buchele is assured that it is necessary to consider lifting the sanctions in case of Ukrainian conflict regulation moves on. Thus, a positive motivation will be triggered off.

In his opinion, the fact that Washington is not going to introduce new sanctions is a positive sign giving hope that USA and the European Union will closely interact on question of sanctions and a way out will be found using diplomatic initiatives, the German businessman concluded.
