Pristine Russia photo festival opened in Moscow

26.01.2018

Pristine Russia festival kicks off today, January 26, in Moscow, RIA Novosti reports. The exposition is accommodated inside the Central House of Artists. Among exhibited items are unique pictures of living nature. Visitors can see photos taken in the most protected corners of our country.

Guests can contemplate almost 500 pictures taken by more than 150 photographers. According to organizers, the festival cannot be called a simple contest. It is rather a ground for photographers to declare their talents.

There are some world-known masters among the authors, such as World Press Photo award holders Vladimir Vyatkin and Valery Melnikov, nominees of the prestigious international photography awards Alexander Wilf, Vladimir Astapkovich, Ramil Sitdikov and others.

The organizing committee has claimed that there was a huge amount of applications for the contest – tens of thousands, and the process of selection was very complicated, however the result was perfect. The guests, who familiarized themselves with the exposition, acknowledged that they did not know how beautiful their country was.
Pictures by Sergei Ryazansky are a novelty of the year. Cosmonaut took a photo of the Earth from the rarest angle – from the board of the International Space Station. The exposition also comprises the best pictures of All-Russia’s children photo contest The Pristine Russia.

Extensive festival agenda includes weekend of Russian photographers, Volunteer’s Day, Day of Sea, Day of Birds, and Day of Northern Minorities. The festival will end with a scientific weekend.
According to Russian President Vladimir Putin, who congratulated festival participants with the anniversary, The Pristine Russia plays an important role bringing up ecological culture, cultivating careful and responsible environmental behavior.
