Loveless by Zvyagintsev is nominated for Oscars

the shot from Loveless/film.ruRussian director Andrey Zvyagintsev's film Loveless is nominated for Oscars as a Foreign Language Film, TASS reports.

Official ceremony of announcing the nominees took place today in Los Angeles.

The film was nominated for the short-list half a year ago. According to the producer Alexander Rodnyansky, the key role was played by very high director's reputation and other awards received in several European film forums.

It's worth mentioning that Loveless has already collected impressive quantity of prizes, including Cannes jury prize, London International Film Festival, etc.

The film tells the story of a boy suffering brutal parent's divorce.
