No more than 389 Russians to be accepted at the Winter Olympics

pixabay.comInternational Olympic Committee has reduced the list of Russian participants from 500 to 389, TASS reports.

Now the Special Commission to indicate the final list. Among the main requirements are clear results of the doping tests and absence of doping violations in the past. IOC representatives have stated that in order to make the “clean sportsmen pool” they've examined each candidate very precisely.

Now the sportsmen have to go through another testing round before the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang starts.

It is worth mentioning that the number of accompanying persons have drastically diminished as well. All coaches and medicine personal who had connection with disqualified athletes are excluded from the list.
As Russkiy Mir reported before, the International Olympic Committee announced its unprecedented decision that Russian national team is banned from participating in the 2018 Winter Games in Pyeongchang because of the doping violations. Only “clear” Russian sportsmen to participate under neutral flag.
