Mute movie about Revolution 1917 evokes hot discussions

22.12.2017

The Russian Center in Budapest has arranged a themed cinema club in honor of the 100th anniversary of Russian revolutions 1917. The spectators liked the movie The Last order directed by Joseph von Sternberg in 1928. The movie evoked a long and substantial discussion.

The cinema series has started with Canadian comedy The Trotsky produced in 2009. The comedy was followed by American movie of 1981, which took several Oscars, a long and non-standard, but dynamic and overwhelming movie The Red.

Besides, the last Methodics Saturday of 2017 took place on December 2 in the Russian Center. We conducted eight similar events with participation of around 300 people this year.

The Candidate of philological sciences Irina Osipova taught a master-class on the word order in the Russian sentence.

Director of Academic programmes of the Russian Cultural Center in Budapest Alina Urazbekova was an invited guest at the event. She conducted a master-class on the newest characteristics of the Russian language vocabulary.

The Methodics Saturdays will continue next year too.
