Russian Ambassador in Bulgaria Anatoly Makarov opened exhibition Russia through the eyes of Bulgarians, Russian Bulgaria website reports. The exhibit introduces 12 winning images that were chosen during the namesake competition.

Greeting the audience at the opening, Makarov has confessed that Russian mission didn't expect such interest of Bulgarian comrades. The embassy received more than 300 photographs during the month. Photographs depict various corners of Russia, beginning from central region to Crimea, Siberia and even Far East. 

Anatoly Makarov has noted that it was not easy to choose the winners. He has thanked participants for the keen interest in our country. The diplomat expressed the hope that interest in Russian heritage and culture will grow so more Bulgarians will visit Russia.
