British media aims for a negative image of Russia prior to 2018 FIFA World Cup due to the pressure from above

15.01.2018

footykits.ruBritish journalists received a direct order to contrive plots favoring negative moods prior to FIFA World Cup 2018, which is scheduled for this summer in Russia. According to the official representative of Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Maria Zakharova these directions can be literary called a state order, TASS reports.

She has mentioned that this task was set not just for one source but for a range of various media.

Note that just a year ago British magazine Guardian reported that FIFA World Cup in Russia might turn into a fantastic event. The newspaper has mentioned a high level of safety in Russia. It wrote that Russian cities are much safer than European cities. The Guardian believes that good weather and low ruble’s rate will help foreign football fans have good time, and all cities where matches will take place are much worth to be visited. The only disadvantage mentioned was poor transport accessibility as the distances between the cities of the football matches are huge.

At the same time, British newspapers are full of articles about hostile Russian football fans. Often the provided information has nothing to do with reality and journalists do not even care to double check it.
