pixabay.comRuining trade relations with Russia became the main reason of colossal losses for the Ukrainian economy, according to the trade representative of Ukraine Natalia Mikolskaya. Nevertheless, turnover between the two countries is growing, RIA Novosti informs.

In opinion of Mikolskaya, the Russian market has goods demanded by Ukraine and the other way round. Trade representative of Ukraine has noted that Russian-Ukrainian ties in the field of economics could increase by larger strides but the sanctions suppress the development. She has underlined that this is another evidence that relations were disrupted by force and it costs at last one billion US dollars to Ukraine every year.

As per the Russkiy Mir Foundation, Kiev introduced anti-Russian sanctions in September 2015. Around four hundred people and more than a hundred organizations and companies were banned. Well-known politicians, senior officials and popular journalists and bloggers from Russia and 15 other countries were imposed various limitations.

It is worth reminding that Kiev broadened anti-Russian sanctions. Dozens of Russian companies received new bans. As per the decree of the Ukrainian Department for Economic Development and Trade, sanctions are about cancelling all external economic activities at the territory of Ukraine.
