Flickr/WonderlaneOrthodox Cathedral of Moscow Patriarchate was subject to desecration and robbery again, according to TASS. The incident happened in the early hours of January 10 in the Holy Intercession Cathedral in Odessa region, the city of Chernomorsk.

Supposedly, robbers were trying to break into the temple and steal savings from sacrifice boxes, however their plans failed. After they discovered that the sum of money was too small, they started to destroy everything around them. They broke altar doors and spilt powder from fire extinguishers on all the floors.

Several similar cases happened in Odessa Eparchy last year. The criminals were never found. Eparchy requests National police and other experts in the field of law to deal with the incident and protect the cathedrals.

It is worth reminding that on January 9 Ukrainian radical organizations marked Odessa Orthodox Churches with fliers that they were related to Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Moscow Patriarchate. They believe the churches to be headquarters of Russian intelligence services. A day earlier, nationalists blocked entrance to Kiev -Pechersk Lavra as a sign of protest against separatists and Federal Security Services.
