The Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill is to perform the divine liturgy in the Cathedral of Dormition in Moscow Kremlin and is going to visit Christmas tree in the national Kremlin Palace, RIA Novosti.
The Patriarch’s participation in such activities has become a good tradition. Previously, on January 7 the Patriarch opened the Christmas tree in the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour. It is expected that children from multi-children families, children of clergymen and residents of orphanages from all over Russia will be present at the festival. All of them will receive presents and will be able to talk to the Patriarch.
The Patriarch’s office clarified that the liturgy in the Cathedral of Dormition will start at 10.00 and the celebration in Moscow Kremlin at 2.00.
