Russian Books exhibition opened in Argentina

Children Soviet Books Exhibition started working in Buenos Aires. Exhibit is hosted by La Nube Library, TASS reports. The exhibition is devoted to the 100th anniversary of Russian Revolution.

Ceremony participants saw few animations based on Soviet writers' stories followed by small poetry performance with famous USSR writer Samuel Marshak poems recited on Russian and English.

The exhibit comprises several parts. The first one introduces Russian classical literature, such as Pushkin, Chekhov, Tolstoy books. The second one presents teenager literature. The third one exhibits scientific popular literature. Children literature and pieces written by writers residing in ex-USSR republics are also on the view.

According to the head of the library Pablo Medina, all these showpieces are coming from internal library's funds. Most part of this archive was passed by USSR Embassy when the country had fallen apart.

Organizers sure that this exhibition to be very interesting not only for kids but for adults as well, especially those who work in publishing business. Children books published in USSR are made on very high level.

Some of the books were brought by Argentinians. Apparently, many of them read Soviet literature in childhood and saved some favorites until today.
