Washington crosses the red line

25.12.2017

Russian Foreign Ministry Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov has stated that Washington has crossed the red line declaring plans to deliver lethal weapons to Ukraine, TASS reports. Diplomat has mentioned that American companies have been importing weapons behind the scenes for a long time, however, now the supplies will be legalized.

Sergei Ryabkov has emphasized that attempts of Washington pretending to be a mediator in the conflict do not hold up against criticism. US is not a mediator in settling peace in Ukraine but rather a war encourager. According to the Deputy Minister, this scenario does not allow talking about reconciling role of US in settling the conflict in Ukraine. Sergei Ryabkov has stated that it is a very careless decision to supply weapons to those who bear revanchist plans and shoot in Donbass on daily basis. He has remarked that history will set the record straight.

It is worth reminding that the intention of official Washington to supply defense weapons to Kiev was criticized by the Federation Council of the Russian Federation. Senator Konstantin Kosachev has claimed that this initiative hastens war instead of peace.
