Loveless enters Oscars Foreign Language Film shortlist

Loveless//kino-teatr.ruRussian director Andrey Zvyagintsev's film Loveless has entered the Oscars Foreign Language Film shortlist, TASS reports. Fantastic Woman by Sebastian Lelio (Chille), Foxtrot by Samuel Maoz (Israel), Insult by Franco-Lebanese Ziad Doueiri, The Square by Ruben Ostlund (Sweden) and others are among its competitors.

Nine out of 90 applications were chosen for the shortlist.

Let us remember, Loveless has already collected impressive quantity of prizes, including Cannes jury prize, London International Film Festival, etc.

It's worth reminding, three years ago Leviathan by Zvyagintsev was nominated for Oscars but the Golden Palm went to Ida by Pavel Pavlikovsky (Poland). Loveless has received the jury prize at the recent Cannes Film Festival.
