The Presidential Press Secretary has reminded that gas leaks to Baumgarten by the Ukrainian gas pipeline system, which is quite deteriorated. Here go large-scale international projects of Gazprom, which could have very positive impact on strengthening European energy security.

Explosion on large OMV gas hub located in Federal lands of Lower Austria happened the previous morning. One person died as a result of this accident and eighteen people were badly injured. The explosion happened due to the technical problem. Austrian police have started investigation.

At present Russian gas flow to Europe has been restored in full scope.
