Next Russian Seasons festival to be held in Italy

Russian Ministry of CultureNext place for Russian Seasons festival that starts in the middle of January 2018 was chosen to be Italy, TASS reports. Mariinsky Theater performance in Rome to mark the beginning of the festival's year. The agreement on the Russian Seasons organization was signed during International Cultural Forum in Saint Petersburg.

Let us remind, Russian Seasons festival has become a new form of cultural partnership starting this year. Russian Culture Minister Vladimir Medinsky has reminded, Russian Seasons name comes from famous Sergey Dyagilev's Russian Seasons conducted at the beginning of 20th century in Paris. There are many events planned, such as concert tours, art exhibitions, circus shows in the frames of the Seasons.

As Russkiy Mir reported earlier, this year Russian Seasons Festival covered 42 cities in Japan. Bolshoi Theater performances have opened the festival in June. The Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra was on a road tour around Japan this summer. Andrei Konchalovsky has presented his ultimate film Paradise. The Hermitage has brought Old Masters exhibition. Apart of those small and big inhabitants of Japan have seen famous Nikulin Moscow Circus.
