Kaspersky lab closes office in Washington

08.12.2017

Washington office of Kaspersky Lab will be closed, RIA Novosti informs. The office located at the outskirts of the American capital will not work anymore, as its main function was provision of software for the state bodies of the United States of America.

Now its main assignment has been fulfilled, Kaspersky Lab explained.

It should be reminded that American authorities prohibited the Pentagon and state organizations of US using antivirus and other software produced by the Russian company explaining their decision by questions of national security. Top managers of Kaspersky Lab have many times denied any connection of the company employees with Russian Federal Security Services. Besides, the Kaspersky Lab owner has expressed readiness to bear witness to US Congress and answer all their questions.

General Manager of the company Eugeny Kaspersky has earlier stated the change of strategy abroad. At this, he mentioned that Kaspersky Lab is not going to quit US market.

At the same time, Kaspersky Lab is opening three new offices. They will start working in Chicago, Los Angeles and Toronto. Sales network is developing as the company is going to become closer to its users.
