Russian schoolkids showed the best reading results among their peers from 50 countries

pixabay.comRussian forth-graders have shown best results comparing to their peers from 50 countries participating in the last IRLS 2017 Assessment Framework, RIA Novosti informs.

According to the head of The Federal Service for the Supervision of Education and Science (Rosobrnadzor) Sergey Kravtsov, our country participates in the research in the course of the last 15 years. Three times, in 2006, 2011 and 2016 it was in the highscores. This time Russian kids improved the result on 13 points comparing to the previous year.

Hence our country is leading in Elementary school results. “Russian Elementary school is the best in the world,” - has underlined Sergey Kravtsov.

Among the few Russian schoolkids have improved their result by more than 40 points the course of last 15 years. Almost three-quaters Elementary school graduates have demonstrated a high level of the reading results, while 25% have shown the highest reading level.
