Rising Stars festival held in Chicago

Flickr/Rosmarie VoegtliRising Stars festival organized by United Association of Compatriots in Chicago, was held in Chicago. Choreography and vocal groups, ensembles from Texas, Virginia, Illinois, Maryland took part in it. Association of Russian-Speaking Theaters in America has supported this event.

Russian compatriots 5 – 20 years old took part in the current contest in a form of creative laboratory where participants exchanged experiences nd learn new things. Dozens master-classes, performances and concerts happened in the frames of festival-contest that lasted for three days.

Russian composer Grigory Gladkov and Member of Theater Workers Union Liubov Putilova are among jury members. Organizers of the event have prepared extensive cultural program, including the tour around Chicago.

Italian entrepreneur Marco Maggi's book, "Russian to the Bone," is now accessible for purchase in Italy and is scheduled for release in Russia in the upcoming months.
