Our football players will play with team from Saudi Arabia at the opening match on 14th of June in Moscow.

President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin has promised that the competition will be arranged at the top level so that the best sportsmen could demonstrate their talent and skills and show what the real football means.

In his opinion, football fans will hardly forget these competitions. They will get acquainted with Russian culture, history of our county and its unique nature. They will be met with traditional Russian hospitality. People who used to travel to Russia once are aware of how we can welcome our friends. Vladimir Putin said this emphasizing that we consider football fans, players and coaches as our friends.

The head of country has added that Russia will do every possible step to turn FIFA World Cup into the bright sports holiday and to draw together the big football family, which values football and honest struggle more than any current state of affairs.
