Russian Ambassador to US discusses preservation of Russian Heritage in San Francisco with our compatriots

pixabay.comRussian Ambassador to Washington Anatoly Antonov held a meeting with expats living in California, TASS reports. The main subject of their conversation was development, reinforcement and preservation of Russian heritage abroad.

Leaders of Russian-speaking community gathered at headquarters of Coordinating Council of Russian Compatriots living in San Francisco, US. They all agree that the level of relations with Russia should not suffer, despite the fact that American authorities have closed the Russian Consulate in San Francisco.

According to the Ambassador, there should be ongoing contacts, especially if the General Consulate is closed.

Besides, Anatoly Antonov has mentioned that he is going to meet Russian and American businessmen to discuss cultural projects in California, which might be supported by both countries.

The participants have proposed to organize a center in Sacramento dealing with keeping the Russian heritage and talked about Russian school in this city.

Russian Ambassador is travelling around California meeting Russian compatriots, experts in various fields, businessmen, making presentations at universities and looking around Russian diplomatic property. His next destination is Fort Ross, California.
