30.11.2017

Edinenie newspaper 20th Graduation party was held in the Pushkin Lyceum Russian Language School in Melbourne, Australia, Edinenie newspaper reports. Ten students of the lyceum, which has been preserving the Russian culture for already twenty-five years have successfully passed the Russian language VCE exam. After that the traditional graduation party was held. All graduates were happy that day, however, they were a bit sad to leave their teachers and the lyceum, where our young compatriots spent years studying many sciences.

The work is life for Director of Pushkin Lyceum Russian Language School Marina Makarova. The motto of the institution is "Russian language – Culture – Family – Heritage." The lyceum management puts all efforts into fulfilling this logo. Skilled professionals work in the lyceum using contemporary studying materials produced in Russia for foreign educational institutions. Apart from the Russian language, the school curriculum includes many other subjects such as logics, oratory art and even dancing. These subjects are called to vary the Russian studying programme and significantly broaden the vocabulary of the students.

Marina Makarova is proud to state that many lyceum graduates won Olympiads on Russian language and took part in various competitions including such famous contests as Living Classics, for example. At weekends, Pushkin lyceum welcomes parents with children. Around two thousand people have attended the lyceum over twenty-five years of its existence. The most prominent achievement of the lyceum is that all its graduates can read and write in Russian, speak fluently the language of Pushkin and Tolstoy and love Russian culture.
