Russian Cinema Week starts in Berlin with Arrhythmia

pixabay.comRussian Cinema Week is conducted in Berlin on November 27 - December 2. Arrhythmia by Boris Khlebnikov was screened at the opening night. All tickets were sold. Let us remind, that Alexander Yatsenko was recognized as the best male lead actor at the International Chicago Film Festival. Also, this film received Grand Prix at the Russian main cinematic event Kinotavr Film Festival in Sochi, and other prizes at several other film festivals in Russia and abroad.

The festival's program is very diverse. These include dramatic story of ballet dancer is unveiled in Bolshoi by Russian film director, screenwriter, TV producer Valery Todorovsky, Cold War and the space race depicted in The Spacewalker by Dmitriy Kiselev, road-movie Rock by young film director Ivan Shakhnazarov, dark comedy How Viktor "the Garlic" Took Alexey "the Stud" to the Nursing Home by Alexander Hant.

Festival organizers are positive that such events play an important role in the intercultural dialogue between Russia and Germany, while quite a challenging situation on the international scene remains.

All the films are screened with German subtitles. There are many students among Russian and German spectators.
