Russian Non-Conformists exhibit opens in Paris

V. MedvedevRussian Non-Conformists exhibit starts working at the Russian Orthodox Spiritual and Cultural Center Branly, Korsun headquartered in Paris reports. It was organised by Parisian publishing house Terra Mare and Korsun headquarters.

There are many pieces that participated in now-legendary “Bulldozer” exhibition, an outdoor showcase of non-conformist art that was destroyed with bulldozers by Soviet authorities.

A French collector allocated works of Oskar Rabin, Vladimir Nemukhin, Mikhail Shemyakin and many other famous artists for this exhibit. The most part of it is presented for the very first time.

One of the museum's halls tells the about the non-conformist movement outbreak with documentary images, playbills and posters.

French and Russian public figures, businessmen, private collectors and journalists were present at the exhibition's opening as well as on a presentation of the art album on Non-conformist art published by Terra Mare.

The exhibition will be on view until November 30.
